During the Democratic Convention at Denver's Convention Center a large body of protestors meet up with heavy totolitarian resistence. From ANP:
A calm political protest quickly turned chaotic as anxious Denver police surrounded protestors peacefully marching toward the Democratic National Convention Center. After trapping the crowd between two buildings, hundreds of officers used pepper spray, batons and unwarranted aggression. After being surrounded for 20 minutes, two ANP producers managed to escape after recording the whole affair.

my god
i had heard that fox news had only shown the violence, making the protesters look bad, as usual there was so much more to the story. i wonder what the RNC is going to look like... a report on democracy now said that they've got a wharehouse ready for everyone they arrest, but the building, which formerly held voting machines, was emptied out after the temperatures got too hot to store the machines there. what about people?? scary.

During the Republican
During the Republican Convention in Manhattan, last election season, the police also used warehouses to detain protestors. The warehouses were later deemed inhumane by a NYC court but that's not going to stop them from doing it in Denver.
Here's another superb video from VideoNation about the protest. I also highly recommend checking out DemocracyNow's coverage both here and here, and theRealNews, which is highlighting the convention.
